SmartPipe System Oy is a Finnish clean technology company. Our services and products improve the performance of pipelines and wastewater treatment systems and eliminate odours in a sustainable way. In addition, our solutions extend the life cycle of the piping system and save on maintenance costs. We are a developer and manufacturer of microbiological and environmentally friendly solutions. We help businesses and properties keep their pipes, drains and waste water systems clean, functional and odour-free. The accumulation of fat, oil and grease (FOG) in sewers causes significant disruption to the functioning of pipelines and is a global problem:

All our products are safe for professional and domestic use when used correctly. The products are accompanied by a user manual, which can also be found on the product card on our website.
The microbial species used in all our product solutions are non-pathogenic and of natural origin. All microbial species are defined by international classification systems as "Class 1", which is the safest category. Microbes are also non-hazardous according to Directive 2000/54/EC. In addition, individual microbial strains are identified by 1500 bp 16S rDNA sequencing and given QPS status according to the EFSA (Qualified Precautionary Statement).
All products are manufactured in Finland to the highest standards by SmartPipe System Oy.
We use a natural microbial process in our products, which is a Finnish microbiological invention. In addition, our unique product formulation combined with a fully automated dispensing concept using our patented pump sets us apart from traditional pipe cleaning and treatment products and their use.
Fermented cultures have been used to maintain wastewater treatment plants and treatment facilities since the 1940s. The first and most common type are Bacillus bacteria. We use the EFSA (European Food Standard Authority) standards for QPS (Qualified Presumption of Safety) microbes. The cultures are very clean and do not contain harmful micro-organisms. For SmartPipe products, microbes only enhance the wastewater treatment process.

Enzymes used in cleaning and sewage treatment products are usually coarse hydrolases that break down large molecules into smaller ones so that they can be flushed away. They do not eat waste. In many cases, especially when dealing with grease in drains, this is not a good idea and can make the situation worse. Enzymes can catalyse only a few limited reactions and are easily denatured. The micro-organisms selected for sewer grease filters and sewer pipe treatment are capable of producing the right amount of biological enzymes at the right time.
Our automatic dispensing system includes a DPT pump, pipe fitting, hose and instruction manual. The DPT pump can be installed in a variety of tanks. The pump is delivered ready for use.
